District 6000 Iowa
About Rotary Youth Exchange
Rotary Youth Exchange District 6000 is a non-profit Rotarian volunteer-led youth exchange program that provides the opportunity for students ages 15-19 to learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. Exchanges are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries.
Our district's program covers roughly the southern half of Iowa, including the cities of Des Moines metro, Ames, Marshalltown, Iowa City Corridor, Quad Cities, Fairfield, Newton and Burlington.
Our mission is to promote international understanding, goodwill, and peace through the exchange of students. We believe we can create a more peaceful and connected world by fostering these connections between young people from different cultures.
