Thank you for having an interest in supporting our Rotary Youth Exchange program!  Have you ever wanted to experience a new culture without leaving your community? We’re looking for welcoming families throughout our wonderful state of Iowa to host high school students from all over the world, including Spain, Italy, and Sweden, for the upcoming academic school year!  Most students arrive mid-late August and leave shortly after graduation unless they participate in a supported USA tour program, and they return home shortly after the tour completes.  Host families do not participate in the tour and are not obligated for any of the student's costs to participate in the tour.

 

Many families assume they don’t have time, need to have kids at home, or must be Rotarians to host. Good news—you don’t!

 

✅ You don’t need to be a Rotarian—any caring family can apply!

✅ Busy families & empty nesters make amazing hosts—students integrate into your daily life and routines.

✅ Short-term & co-hosting options available—you can host from just a few months up to an entire academic year.

✅ Students are self-sufficient—they attend your local high school and participate in activities, including local and regional Rotary service projects, and Rotary provides students with a monthly stipend, phone, and their school-related expenses.

Your Rotary Youth Exchange Iowa team provides training and support for all our host families and their Rotary clubs.
